Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced Principal GIS Consultant to join our leadership team and support the development and execution of industry-leading solutions for some of North America's largest electric and gas utilities. In this role, you'll work directly with our customers, technical teams, and industry partners to position for, respond to, and deliver solutions. This role requires travel up to 50%, and you'll have the flexibility to work from most locations across the US.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead the implementation of geospatial solutions, from initial strategy to delivery.
  2. Collaborate with customers, team members, and partners to develop and deliver technology roadmaps, requirements analysis, and project planning.
  3. Assemble and lead pursuit teams responding to RFPs, defining WBS, scope, schedule, cost, pricing, and teaming partners/subs.
  4. Identify gaps in the market, new technology, and trends that present opportunities for Locana to pursue new business.
  5. Influence and foster strong relationships with our customers.
  6. Mentor team members and support them in their career aspirations.
Requirements
  1. 10+ years of related experience.
  2. Experience implementing GIS solutions and functional knowledge of leading-edge Esri ArcGIS technology (ArcGIS Pro, Enterprise, Mobile tools).
  3. Ability to translate business requirements into proposed technical solutions.
  4. Experience managing project teams and the application of project methodologies and tools.
  5. Strong client-facing communication and presentation skills, with the ability to proactively engage customers and guide them through clear, concise communication techniques.
  6. Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
  7. Strong knowledge of project management, including WBS definition, scope, schedule, cost, and pricing.
  8. Ability to travel up to 50%.
