Motion Recruitment is seeking a talented Geographic Information Systems Engineer to enhance our client's capabilities in data integration and technology solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement cutting-edge solutions that unify data and platform technologies to fulfill organizational requirements.
- Design and structure application solutions that connect data/geodatabases, platforms, and technologies to achieve business goals, streamline technical solutions, and minimize IT maintenance demands.
- Create prototypes to validate design concepts and solutions as necessary.
- Engage in Joint Application Development (JAD) sessions as required.
- Collaborate with external contractors and consultants to transition their solutions into the client's operational frameworks.
- Integrate application solutions with existing enterprise systems, databases, data warehouses, system jobs, and applications.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in computer technology or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in the architecture, design, and execution of enterprise systems for large-scale or cross-functional projects.
- Proficient in SQL queries and reporting.
- Familiarity with Oracle and SQL Server databases.
- Experience in integrating enterprise-level applications.
- Expertise in solutions development using .NET, JavaScript libraries (e.g., Dojo, jQuery, Leaflet).
- Proficient in front-end frameworks such as HTML5, CSS, Python, and ArcPy/Python Arcade.
- Experience in documenting code and utilizing version control systems (e.g., GitHub) with industry-standard tools (e.g., Azure DevOps).
- Knowledge of IT security principles and implementation strategies.
- Understanding of object-oriented programming concepts (e.g., interfaces, composition, polymorphism).
- Experience with modern API design patterns and the ability to define API specifications.
- Proven track record as a Technical Architect in developing .NET web applications and client/server applications.
- Experience in designing C# ASP.NET/.NET Core Web APIs (RESTful Web Services).
- Hands-on experience with .NET, C#.NET, WPF, WCF, MVC, or similar .NET frameworks.
- Proven experience as a GIS Solution Architect or a comparable role utilizing Esri products.
- Experience with the Esri ArcGIS Maps API/SDK for JavaScript versions 3.x and 4.x.
- Familiarity with ArcPro, ArcMap, ArcObjects, Geoevent Processor, Experience Builder, and Field Maps.
- Knowledge of SafeSoftware Feature Manipulation Engine (FME).
- Experience with ArcGIS Enterprise Server and ArcGIS Online/Hub/Community as an Administrator.
- Experience in designing and developing geocoders and geoprocessors.
- Understanding of Esri ArcSDE and multi-user versioning techniques.
- Knowledge of linear referencing systems/methods or Esri Roads and Highways or Oracle Locator/Spatial.
