Job Overview

The Goddard Riverside Community Center is seeking a skilled Medical Liaison to join our team. As a key member of our outreach program, you will play a vital role in coordinating medical and psychiatric services for individuals experiencing homelessness.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage the schedules of psychiatric and Street Medicine Team (SMT) providers, ensuring seamless coordination of care.
  • Develop linkages with healthcare providers, resolving insurance issues, and facilitating referrals.
  • Communicate effectively with hospitals, emergency rooms, and other stakeholders to ensure timely interventions.
  • Conduct field work, including canvassing for clients and escorting them to medical appointments.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred; relevant experience a plus.
  • Valid driver's license and a driving record that meets the agency's auto insurance guidelines.
  • Flexibility in work hours, with availability for evening, overnight, and weekend shifts.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Spanish and English a plus.
  • Understanding of housing first and harm reduction models.
Work Environment:

This position requires frequent walking and standing, as well as occasional lifting of up to 30 pounds. The work environment is indoors and outdoors, with all-weather conditions.
