Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Science Liaison Specialist to join our team at AbbVie. As a key member of our scientific community, you will play a critical role in supporting research and business objectives across various therapeutic areas.

About the Role

This is a remote position requiring the ability to work within a reasonable distance from primary cities. The successful candidate will support research initiatives across development, including site evaluation, investigator meetings, and external expert identification.

Responsibilities

  • Develop professional relationships with external experts in therapeutic areas within assigned geography
  • Routinely communicate field insights to internal business partners and provide education on disease state and AbbVie products
  • Maintain knowledge of market issues and trends, as well as product information relevant to specific business responsibilities
  • Collaborate with in-field teams to develop territory plans that meet shared business objectives
  • Support clinical information needs within assigned geography and contribute to strategic clinical initiatives
  • Evaluate and implement new ideas to improve performance and achieve annual functional goals
  • Ensure compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and Procedures

Requirements

  • Advanced degree in a relevant scientific discipline (Pharm D, MD/DO, PhD, PA or NP, BSN)
  • At least 2 years of clinical, scientific/research, or industry-related experience
  • Lung Solid Tumor experience preferred
  • Previous pharmaceutical industry experience in relevant scientific disciplines
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and translate territory and corporate needs into actionable objectives
  • Ability to travel up to 75% of the time
  • Must meet healthcare industry representative (HCIR) credentialing requirements
