Position Overview: The Operational Excellence Manager is responsible for the effective implementation of strategies within the Programs and Services Division at Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity. This role serves as a crucial link between strategic vision and practical execution, ensuring that initiatives are completed efficiently, within financial parameters, and align with established goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead efforts to enhance existing workflows and operational procedures.
  • Collaborate with various teams and leadership to assess current practices, pinpoint inefficiencies, and introduce optimized solutions.
  • Document revised processes and develop comprehensive training resources.
  • Monitor and evaluate the sustained effectiveness of implemented improvements.

Qualifications for the Operational Excellence Manager:

  • Education and Experience:
    • Minimum of 5 years in project management.
    • At least 3 years of proven success in strategic planning, vision development, and team leadership.
    • Strong alignment with the mission of Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity.
    • Experience in building and nurturing internal and external relationships.
    • Commitment to continuous improvement and experience in leading process enhancement initiatives.
    • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
    • Personal auto insurance compliant with organizational policies.
  • Essential Skills and Competencies:
    • Process Management: Ability to implement efficient processes with a focus on ongoing improvement.
    • Collaboration: Works effectively with colleagues to identify and resolve cross-departmental issues, demonstrating an understanding of diverse perspectives.
    • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of presenting complex information clearly and transparently.
    • Analytical Thinking: Proficient in breaking down complex information and undefined challenges into manageable components.
    • Project Management: Skilled in developing and executing detailed project plans while motivating team members.
    • Initiative: Proactively identifies opportunities and challenges, taking decisive action to address them.
