Vice President, Account Management (Integrated)

About the Role

Ogilvypr is in search of a Vice President of Account Management to enhance our operations in the DC area. This pivotal role is integral to the agency's success and revenue generation, focusing on identifying and cultivating growth avenues while acting as a reliable consultant and collaborator for both clients and account teams. The Vice President will advocate for outstanding creative initiatives and recognize the significance of impeccable execution. They will embody and oversee the realization of the agency's vision, principles, and management practices, while also being exceptional leaders who motivate their teams to take bold actions.

The ideal candidate will possess a fervor for addressing client challenges through strategic and innovative solutions. Clients choose Ogilvypr for our ability to amplify their influence in Washington, while also assisting Washington-based clients in building globally impactful brands.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Oversee all facets of client service, including strategic planning, program execution, and account team leadership.
  2. Act as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders, consistently seeking opportunities to nurture and expand client account teams.
  3. Exhibit strong collaborative abilities with internal teams, leveraging the agency's diverse resources to propose new ideas and solutions that effectively support client objectives.
  4. Coordinate with agency operations leadership to ensure the client team is optimally staffed and structured to fulfill client requirements.
  5. Establish robust, collaborative, and trustworthy relationships with project managers, creative teams, and strategic partners.
  6. Manage the overall financial health of accounts, including forecasting client revenue and overseeing client P&L, business growth, and operating margins.
  7. Contribute to the agency's revenue and profitability forecasts.
  8. Assist Ogilvypr and our clients in cultivating a positive reputation within key communities, such as business media and political groups, essential for our professional success.
  9. Serve as a seasoned mentor, coaching and inspiring the development of junior agency personnel through consistent feedback, training, and growth opportunities.
  10. Foster an environment that values diversity and inclusion within the team and the agency.

Qualifications

  1. 10+ years of experience in integrated marketing, public relations, and advertising campaigns.
  2. 3+ years of direct management experience.
  3. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a persuasive communication style.
  4. A strong appreciation for the creative process and a commitment to delivering excellence.
  5. Robust background in the strategy and development of integrated communication initiatives.
  6. A diplomatic, inspiring, and empathetic leadership style.
  7. A keen listener who can read situations and adapt their approach accordingly.
  8. Strong business acumen and financial skills to ensure timely and budget-compliant project delivery.
  9. Ability to manage multiple tasks and lead cross-functional teams, including program management, creative, communication and brand strategy, paid media, PR, analytics, and finance.
  10. A curious mindset with a focus on continuous learning and growth opportunities.
  11. A strong leader committed to the professional development of team members, providing ongoing feedback and training opportunities.
