Position Overview: We are currently seeking a Civil Project Engineer.

In this role, you will assist Project Managers with comprehensive engineering analysis, contributing to the preparation of engineering reports, permit applications, and construction plans.

You will also provide direction and training to Civil Design Technicians and/or Civil Designers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft procedures and system requirements for clients;
  • Coordinate with municipal, transportation, traffic, and other disciplines;
  • Complete permit applications for various municipalities;
  • Design geometric pavement and site circulation;
  • Prepare specifications and cost estimates;
  • Conduct traffic warrants and guardrail warrants;
  • Oversee work assignments with regular checks by peers or supervisors;
  • Guide and train Civil Designers in producing reports, exhibits, plans, specifications, and permit applications as required by project scope;
  • Additional functions as outlined in Civil Designers' responsibilities.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proficient knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles for producing precise technical plans and drawings;
  • Understanding of materials, methods, and tools involved in construction;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and AutoCAD Civil 3D software;
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written, for effective interaction with individuals or groups;
  • Ability to interpret state and local design criteria and apply them to specific project needs;
  • Consistent production of high-quality construction documents.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering;
  • Professional Engineer license;
  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
