Communications Specialist

ASU's Center for Accelerating Operational Efficiency (CAOE) is seeking a skilled Communications Specialist to drive the Center's outreach, marketing, and communications efforts.

The CAOE is a U.S. Department of Homeland Security Center of Excellence led by ASU, conducting impactful research and innovative educational programming around security challenges.

The Communications Specialist will work closely with colleagues in ASU, partner universities, and Department of Homeland Security representatives to communicate programming successes and outcomes to the public and targeted audiences.

This role will oversee all Center branding aspects, develop the communications strategy, and execute campaigns around upcoming events and programming.

Responsibilities may include communicating the impact of the Center's research on security-related issues, such as wait times at Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport, or highlighting student-designed approaches to securing public spaces from malicious drone operators.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement communications strategies to promote the Center's research and programming
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create engaging content for various audiences
  • Oversee the Center's branding and visual identity
  • Execute communications campaigns around upcoming events and programming
