Regional Manager of Student and Family Engagement
Role Overview:
As a pivotal member of the Regional Leadership Team, the Regional Manager of Student and Family Engagement will supervise the region's crisis intervention and mental health resources, strategies for student retention, implementation of Social Emotional Learning (SEL) curricula, and services aimed at family involvement and support. This role will be instrumental in collaborating with the regional Executive Director, Regional Director of Operations, and Executive Principals, while also serving as a key connection to community partners. The Regional Manager will receive ongoing coaching and guidance from the National Student Performance and Advocacy team to ensure that both national and regional objectives are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Foster collaboration with business partners to implement the student retention vision and strategy for the region in conjunction with the National Student Support Services Team.
- Develop and deliver high-quality training materials and resources to assist campuses in achieving their retention goals through designated point people.
- Work alongside Executive Principals to provide accountability and feedback to campus leadership teams regarding the execution of district expectations related to student retention.
- Ensure that all campuses within the portfolio adhere to deadlines for retention-related processes throughout the academic year.
- Monitor and report retention data weekly to schools within the portfolio.
- Conduct weekly audits of data, sharing successes and challenges with the regional leadership team and Executive Principals.
- Collaborate with the Regional Director of Operations to oversee Assistant Principals of Operations and Enrollment Coordinators, ensuring that all new families are onboarded and engaged during their initial year.
- Train Grade Team Leaders to effectively manage and track the Mission List for all grade levels across campuses.
- Present updates on the Mission List during campus leadership team meetings, ensuring accountability for next steps.
- Coordinate support and guidance for campus mental health and social emotional crises and critical incidents.
- Act as a liaison between schools and local health organizations, facilitating the implementation of Tier 2/3 counseling services on campuses.
- Lead professional development sessions for school leaders, educators, and staff to enhance the implementation of SEL initiatives.
- Conduct regular observations at schools with the leadership team to provide feedback on SEL implementation and cultural expectations.
- Facilitate training for school leaders and staff on positive behavioral interventions and trauma-informed practices.
- Manage relationships with community providers that support students at the campuses.
- Utilize operational mechanisms and partnerships with principals and regional leaders to effectively execute and monitor SEL practices across the schools.
- Regularly perform needs assessments and satisfaction surveys of Student Support Advocates, School Counselors, and Social Workers, creating strategic plans based on the data collected.
- Maintain a caseload of specific students at each school to remain actively engaged with students requiring additional support.
- Ensure that 100% of new families participate in the onboarding process across the portfolio of campuses.
- Provide interventions and partnerships to priority campuses that are not meeting benchmarks.
- Establish and nurture regional partnerships with community organizations to enhance the availability of wraparound services for students and families.
- Train all School Crisis Teams and oversee their execution in collaboration with the Regional Director of Operations.
- Ensure that campuses host the required family engagement events throughout the academic year and maintain compliance with documentation requirements.
- Drive the regional implementation of the Panorama Social Emotional Learning Survey to achieve a 75% completion rate among students.
- Facilitate the regional implementation of the Panorama Teacher Career Pathway survey to ensure a 50% completion rate among families.
- Ensure that all campuses implement anti-bullying and sexual abuse prevention curricula.
- Achieve a 90% implementation rate of trauma-informed teaching practices training for school staff.
- Provide coaching and support to school leaders and support staff to ensure that 90% of school counselors and social workers meet direct service hour requirements.
- Maintain full compliance with state and regional mental health and SEL guidelines.
- Master's degree required, preferably in Social Work, Counseling, School Counseling, or a related field.
- Mental Health License or Counseling Certification preferred.
- Experience in an educational setting.
Salaries for this role typically range from $72,700 to $77,400, based on relevant experience and qualifications. This position is also eligible for performance-based pay linked to organizational performance and goal achievement.
