Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Microbiologist to join our team at Prime Analytical Laboratories, LLC. As a Microbiologist, you will be responsible for performing microbial testing and designing microbiology studies to ensure the quality and safety of our clients' products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Microbial Testing: Perform aerobic and yeast and mold count testing based on AOAC, EU, USP, and FDA BAM methods.
  • Pathogen Testing: Test for the presence or absence of pathogens such as E. coli, Staph. Aureus, Candida, Listeria, and other pathogens based on AOAC, EU, USP, and FDA BAM methods.
  • Disinfectant Studies: Conduct disinfectant studies to ensure the effectiveness of disinfectants.
  • Container Closure Microbial Studies: Perform container closure microbial studies to ensure the quality and safety of products.
  • USP Testing: Perform USP testing for products such as , , , , , , , , and .
  • Antimicrobial Product Efficacy Studies: Conduct antimicrobial product efficacy studies to ensure the effectiveness of antimicrobial products.
  • Field Environmental Monitoring: Coordinate field environmental monitoring sampling at client facilities to ensure the quality and safety of products.
  • Custom Microbial Studies: Design and conduct custom microbial studies to meet client needs.
  • DNA-Based Pathogen Screening Tests: Perform DNA-based pathogen screening tests to detect the presence of pathogens.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in science with a concentration in microbiology, or a graduate degree in microbiology.
  • Experience: At least 5 years of hands-on experience in microbiology testing in an FDA GMP regulated environment.
  • Skills: Excellent organizational skills, good written and verbal communication skills, excellent math skills, ability to follow instructions, and ability to work as a team member.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, ability to lift 25 pounds, ability to count colonies with normal lab equipment, ability to stand for a long period of time, and ability to gown to enter clean room areas.
