We are currently seeking a motivated entry-level Project Accountant to become a part of our Accounting team.

The role entails overseeing our project billing processes, which includes:

  • Verifying chargeable time and expenses of employees in line with established accounting standards and billing policies.
  • Establishing and updating project budgets as necessary.
  • Ensuring project data remains accurate and current.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare invoice submissions for various government and private clients, ensuring all necessary documentation is included.
  • Maintain comprehensive and accurate project folders with all relevant documents.
  • Input budget changes and variance adjustments in the company reporting system as required.
  • Coordinate billing procedures with different branch offices.
  • Respond to client requests for additional reports or detailed backup documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with Project Managers regarding the financial status of projects, contract modifications, and client invoicing requirements.
  • Review unbilled costs and outstanding invoices monthly to maximize billing and collection opportunities.
  • Examine invoice submissions from subconsultants to ensure compliance with contract terms and budget limits.
  • Perform additional duties as needed based on project and company requirements.
  • Clearly articulate any project-related issues to both accounting and non-accounting personnel.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
  • 2-5 years of relevant accounting experience, particularly in billing and contract interpretation.
  • Experience with Deltek Vision is advantageous.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage conflicting demands.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to meet monthly billing deadlines.
  • Professional demeanor and a high level of integrity.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaboratively in a team environment when necessary.
