Job Summary

SmartTalent is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. As an AP Specialist, you will be responsible for managing all accounts payable support activities for multiple locations and vendor types.

Key Responsibilities
  • Open, sort, and scan physical and electronic accounts payable mail into an imaging system.
  • Confirm the accuracy of information identified by the imaging system and make corrections as needed.
  • Update and safeguard the vendor master file by reviewing new vendor packets for completion, working with vendors to obtain missing documents, and verbally confirming and documenting all additions and changes to sensitive vendor information.
  • Accurately enter information into the accounting system.
  • Sort and distribute email from the inbox.
  • Work closely with internal and external customers/vendors.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies.
Requirements
  • 2 years of recent AP experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams).
  • Previous experience with accounts payable software.
  • Keen eye for detail and accurate data entry skills.
  • Ability to systematically follow processes.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and prioritization skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Bilingual Spanish a plus.
  • Experience with Imaging Systems a plus.
