This role is designed to collaborate closely with the Hematopathologist Faculty to execute essential Bone Marrow functions:

• Review outside referral cases by entering laboratory data into the consult system.

• Conduct the 500 cell differential analysis.

• Prepare materials for the weekly tumor board presentations.

• Educate and mentor residents.

• Undertake additional assigned responsibilities as necessary.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8am - 4:30pm (hours are negotiable). Currently, no weekend shifts are anticipated.

Conduct Patient and Quality Control (QC) testing, while developing skills and maintaining proficiency in routine and designated laboratory areas.Manage proper inventories and utilize supplies and reagents effectively.Perform advanced troubleshooting and maintenance of laboratory equipment.Ensure seamless handover to the next shift.Engage in quality safety and compliance initiatives.Investigate documentation and resolve issues or complaints.Act as a trainer and role model for Clinical Laboratory Scientist 1 staff and healthcare professional students.Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
Compensation: Position Compensation Range: $44.54 Hourly

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education: Associate Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT); OR Associate Degree or 60 semester hours with 6 hours in Chemistry and 6 hours in Biology and Accredited MLT Training; OR Bachelor's in Biology/Chemistry or related science required.

Licensure: ASCP certification required within 24 months or military experience equivalent to the ASCP.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This position requires standing and sitting for extended periods, frequent travel, bending/stooping, reaching, and repetitive motions. Proficient communication, auditory, and visual skills are essential; attention to detail and the ability to write legibly are required. The role may involve lifting/pushing/pulling weights. Exposure to fumes, chemicals, radiation, blood/body fluids, and infectious diseases may occur.
