Position Overview:

Foster Graham Milstein & Calisher is in search of a skilled paralegal with a minimum of five years of expertise in property transactions to support attorneys in various aspects of real estate, including acquisitions, financing, leasing, development, and related land use issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate documentation and closing processes for property transactions, encompassing sales, purchases, leases, and financing.
  • Conduct title commitment, ALTA survey, and zoning assessments.
  • Assist in drafting correspondence regarding title and survey objections.
  • Perform legal and regulatory research as required.
  • Manage contract timelines and deadlines effectively.
  • Prepare necessary closing documentation.
  • File documents with the appropriate Recorder's offices.
  • Communicate with clients and organizations through written correspondence, phone calls, or electronic means as directed by the supervising attorney.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently while maintaining organized records for extensive transactions.
  • Strong analytical and organizational capabilities with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Skilled in organizing both physical and digital data for easy access and retrieval.
  • Professional communication skills, both verbal and written, with clients at all levels.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and independent thinking, with minimal supervision.
  • Commitment to confidentiality and discretion.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work assignments.
  • Experience with legal document management and timekeeping software is advantageous.

Compensation & Benefits:

The salary range for this role is between $70,000 and $80,000 annually. Actual compensation will depend on relevant skills, training, experience, and other job-related factors in accordance with applicable laws.
