Role Summary:

The Operations Engineering Manager plays a pivotal role in steering continuous improvement initiatives that enhance excellence throughout the entire value chain. This position is tasked with coordinating and guiding facility resources and personnel to fulfill or surpass organizational objectives. The Operations Engineering Manager will spearhead strategic initiatives and apply enterprise standards effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead facility operations to meet or exceed client expectations, achieve established goals through SMART objectives, and optimize employee engagement and development.
  • Ensure the success of process enhancement initiatives by instituting effective policies, procedures, and documentation.
  • Implement demand-driven strategies that bolster operational excellence and align with long-term objectives.
  • Guarantee the seamless flow of products, materials, and information to maximize efficiency and minimize operational costs.
  • Assess situations with objectivity and demonstrate decision-making capabilities that positively influence work performance and overall business outcomes.
  • Organize and prioritize tasks to ensure timely completion with high quality, while proactively identifying potential issues.
  • Define resource requirements and operate within budgetary and staffing constraints to achieve departmental goals.
  • Serve as a SAP Super User within the designated functional area.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, or Industrial Technology, or equivalent experience in a related operations role.
  • A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in engineering management within a comparable environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Strong understanding of financial metrics and objectives.
  • Knowledge and application of lean manufacturing principles.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proven project leadership capabilities.
  • Ability to influence senior management and collaborate across multiple functions.
  • Experience working with diverse teams to drive unified solutions.
  • Background in high mix, low volume, and high volume, low mix production settings.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage shifting deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced atmosphere.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, including the capacity to identify innovative solutions and ask insightful questions.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in Supply Chain Management or an MBA.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems (SAP/Oracle).
  • Prior experience utilizing SAP or similar ERP systems.

Physical Requirements:

This role requires regular communication and manual dexterity. Employees must be able to stand, walk, and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. The position involves frequent computer-based work, necessitating periods of sitting and close vision.
