Role Summary:

The Operations Engineering Manager plays a pivotal role in steering continuous improvement efforts that enhance performance across the entire value chain. This position is accountable for coordinating facility resources and personnel to achieve or surpass organizational objectives. The Operations Engineering Manager will lead strategic initiatives while adhering to enterprise standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitates operational priorities to exceed customer expectations, accomplish SMART goals, achieve KPIs, and maximize employee engagement and development.
  • Ensures the sustained success of process improvement efforts through the implementation of policies, procedures, and comprehensive documentation.
  • Applies demand-driven principles and strategies that bolster operational excellence and long-term planning.
  • Guarantees the seamless flow of products, materials, and information to optimize efficiency and minimize operational costs.
  • Assesses situations with objectivity and demonstrates decision-making capabilities that positively influence work performance and overall business outcomes.
  • Organizes and prioritizes tasks to ensure timely completion with high quality, anticipating potential challenges in advance and employing creative problem-solving techniques.
  • Responsible for identifying resource requirements and operating within budgetary and staffing constraints to meet objectives.
  • Acts as a SAP Super User within the designated functional area.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, or Industrial Technology, or equivalent experience in a similar operational environment.
  • A minimum of 5 years of progressive management experience in an engineering context.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced understanding of financial metrics and objectives.
  • Proficient in lean manufacturing principles.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven project leadership capabilities.
  • Ability to influence senior management and collaborate across various functions.
  • Experience in working with multiple sites to drive unified solutions.
  • Familiarity with high mix, low volume, and high volume, low mix production settings.
  • Demonstrated success in managing shifting deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify effective solutions and ask pertinent questions to frame logical conclusions.

Physical Requirements:

This role involves regular communication and manual dexterity. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk, with occasional bending or reaching. Lifting up to 25 pounds may be necessary. The position also entails significant computer-based work, requiring periods of sitting and close vision.
