Position Overview: The Retail Systems Administrator plays a crucial role in the configuration, testing, implementation, and maintenance of retail systems applications and associated hardware for client and franchise locations. This position is tasked with the administration and upkeep of the organization's Point-of-Sale (POS) solutions, both on-premises and digital, as well as Back Office systems, ensuring all operations are executed in a timely and precise manner.

Work Arrangement: This role offers a hybrid schedule, allowing remote work on designated days.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Organize and configure new menu items, discounts, promotions, and screens, ensuring accurate pricing and categorization.
  • Manage security levels, user access, and permissions for POS and Back Office applications.
  • Conduct quality assurance testing for new requests, enhancements, and integrations.
  • Follow established policies for the lifecycle of in-store IT systems, change control, and performance indicator management.
  • Provide escalatory support to the internal help desk, delivering effective, customer-focused services within set service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Assist with sales audits, inventory management, replenishment, and related applications.
  • Create and maintain documentation for store systems control and maintenance.
  • Facilitate the establishment and maintenance of store systems requirements.
  • Utilize Root Cause Analysis techniques to drive continuous improvements in store systems.
  • Update and maintain the current technology stack.
  • Support online ordering platforms, including menu management and product updates within the POS application.

Education and Experience:

  • Associate's degree in Information Technology, Business, or relevant experience.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience with store systems, including maintenance of POS/Back Office systems or providing support for brands with over 100 locations.
  • Experience in testing POS and Back Office applications, including new releases, patches, and upgrades.
  • Familiarity with payment transaction processing, including credit card, stored value, and loyalty systems.
  • Knowledge of change management and operational procedures related to POS.
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills and familiarity with system performance tools and technologies.
