POSITION SUMMARY

The Regional Logistics Operations Manager is accountable for ensuring the efficient movement of vehicles and port-installed accessories within the designated region. This role serves as the primary liaison with the production planning team, allocation systems, vehicle traffic management, and shipping operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Oversees the monthly allocation process for the region to optimize retail performance and meet wholesale operational goals.
  • Collaborates closely with Zone Directors and the Regional Vice President to provide essential purchase order data that supports production and operational planning.
  • Manages the inventory of regional test, pool, promotional, and Employee Vehicle Lease Program (EVLP) vehicles, ensuring proper ordering, rotation, accounting, and disposal.
  • Drives port accessory sales to meet established targets for new vehicle wholesales.
  • Facilitates the fulfillment of Sold Order Requests efficiently.
  • Coordinates all aspects of auto show vehicle logistics, including ordering, shipping, tracking, and repair.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES
  • Shares responsibility with the Customer Relations team for the ordering, shipment, and tracking of Subaru Service Loaner Program (SSLP) units, ensuring SSLP objectives are met.
  • Provides training to regional, field, and retailer staff on distribution-related systems and initiatives.
  • Mentors and develops team members within the department.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
  • Extensive experience in the automotive sector, particularly in management roles focusing on sales, marketing, and inventory control. Experience in automotive retail is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical capabilities.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proficient in advanced computer software, particularly Microsoft Excel.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
4-Year College Degree (BA, BS) with 6-8 years of relevant experience.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • Travel Requirement: 15% travel may be necessary.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Office environment within the designated region or zone.
  • Potential travel to retailers or events.
