Position Overview:
The Plant Controller is a vital role within our organization, responsible for all financial management aspects of our manufacturing facility.
This permanent, full-time position presents an exciting opportunity to influence our financial strategies.
Key responsibilities include managing cost control, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting, while ensuring compliance with tax and audit regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise all financial activities within the manufacturing plant, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and asset management.
- Establish and maintain manufacturing cost systems, focusing on cost management and reduction initiatives.
- Generate accurate monthly financial reports, providing detailed analysis to facilitate informed decision-making.
- Direct the budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with overall corporate objectives.
- Manage fixed asset oversight, including the preparation of depreciation schedules.
- Ensure adherence to tax regulations, preparing and submitting necessary documentation.
- Lead both internal and external audit processes, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Formulate and implement strategies aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and minimizing costs.
- Collaborate with plant management and corporate finance to develop strategic financial plans.
- Offer financial insights and guidance to support operational decision-making.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required; MBA or CPA is preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience in manufacturing accounting, with a strong emphasis on cost management.
- Demonstrated experience in managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed assets.
- In-depth knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, tax, and audit processes.
- Exceptional financial reporting skills, with the ability to convey complex financial data clearly.
- Strong analytical capabilities, enabling the interpretation of financial data and provision of actionable recommendations.
- Proven leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and manage a team effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, facilitating collaboration across all organizational levels.
- Proficient in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes and cost reduction strategies.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
