Job Summary

As a key member of our Contracts and Procurement team, you will play a critical role in supporting company goals and objectives through the management of all elements of the contracting function.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contract Management: Oversee the cradle-to-grave contractual administration of various types of contracts, including level of effort cost reimbursement type contracts, time and materials contracts, indefinite delivery indefinite quantity contracts, firm fixed price contracts, and Joint Funding Agreements.
  • Government Interface: Serve as the primary interface with the Government Contracting Office, providing customer service and offering sound solutions to Government challenges based on customer needs, preferences, and a strong understanding of various contract and subcontract complexities.
  • Proposal Development: Lead the preparation of prime cost proposals, facilitating pre-award and post-award activities.
  • Subcontractor Management: Ensure accurate and timely execution of subcontractor pre-award timelines, negotiations, cost analysis, execution, and closeout.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with customers, program teams, and subcontractors regarding funding and budgetary issues for each program.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of six years of experience in Government contracting, with a strong background in either the Department of Health and Human Services or the Biomedical Industry.
  • Extensive knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations and Supplements, as well as other federal government regulations and policies.
  • Effective management and negotiation skills, with the ability to handle multiple, complex projects and prioritize tasks accordingly.
  • Ability to evaluate risks and discern legal implications associated with contractual terms and conditions, and communicate those to upper management.
  • Exceptional computer skills, with an emphasis on the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing, with co-workers and team members.
  • Experience working as a team member engaged in tasks requiring teamwork and performance to schedules.
  • Ability to travel at company discretion.
  • US Citizenship is required, and this position is subject to a background check that includes a review of criminal records.
