Government Contracting Specialist

ATI | Advanced Technology International is seeking a highly skilled Contracts Manager II to join our team. As a key member of our Contracts and Procurement team, you will play a critical role in supporting our company goals and objectives through the management of all elements of the contracting function.
Job Summary:The Contracts Manager II will be responsible for proposal development, negotiation, and administration of contracts through completion. This role requires exercising discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance to the business. The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations and Supplements, as well as other federal government regulations and policies.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee a team who provides cradle to grave contractual administration of various types of contracts for multiple programs.
- Serve as primary interface with Government Contracting Office and provide customer service and offer sound solutions to Government challenges based on customer needs, preferences, and strong understanding of various contract and subcontract complexities.
- Lead preparation of prime cost proposals and facilitate pre-award and post-award activities.
- Ensure accurate and timely execution of subcontractor pre-award timelines, negotiations, cost analysis, execution, and closeout.
- Work closely with customers, program team, and subcontractors regarding funding and budgetary issues for each program.
- Bachelor's Degree and minimum of six years experience in Government contracting required.
- Extensive knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations and Supplements, as well as other federal government regulations and policies.
- Effective management and negotiation skills.
- Ability to handle multiple, complex projects, often with competing priorities.
- Ability to evaluate risks and discern legal implications associated with contractual terms and conditions, and the ability to communicate those to upper management.
