Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer

Chemours is seeking an Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer to join our growing Manufacturing Technology team. This position will report directly to the Manufacturing Technology Manager at our Louisville Works site in Louisville, KY location.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform engineering assignments involving the application of established electrical & instrumentation (E&I) technology and principles.
  • Coordinate with other engineering and functional competencies to provide economical and expedient task implementation.
  • Lead the E&I function associated with major capital projects and lead commissioning, startups, and troubleshooting activities.
  • Develop preventive and predictive programs for the E&I scope.
  • Participate in project teams and all activities related to E&I technical support.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of a BS degree in Electrical Engineering or related field of study.
  • Minimum of 2 years of work experience as an Electrical Engineer.
  • Experience with basic electrical and instrumentation design and installation.
  • Knowledgeable in the measurement of flow, pressure, temperature, level, pH, and conductivity.
  • Ability to plan, prioritize, and manage multiple, complex, time-sensitive projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
  • Process Safety Management (PSM) experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of Electrical Engineering work experience in a chemical manufacturing process or in the oil & gas industry.
  • PLC Experience.
  • Experience with a Honeywell Distributed Control System.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt (or higher) Certification.
