Lantech is a leading manufacturer of stretch wrapping technology and case handling equipment. We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team. As an Electrical Engineer at Lantech, you will be responsible for developing new products that add significant value to our customers. You will interpret customer needs to establish electrical product specifications, design electrical systems, write PLC logic, and complete electrical documentation according to internal and industry consensus standards. You will ensure that new products meet functional and non-functional specifications, including safety, performance, cost, reliability, and manufacturability. You will also devise and conduct validation tests to ensure product quality, troubleshoot operational issues, and devise short and long-term remedies. Additionally, you will apply engineering theory to solve complex problems, learn and apply new skills as projects require, maintain knowledge of new technologies, and identify and act on opportunities for continuous improvement. You will collaborate with and support teammates and other colleagues, direct junior engineers, technologists, and technicians as necessary, and travel to customer sites to commission pre-production tests or troubleshoot technical issues. We are looking for someone with proficiency in Allen-Bradley Studio5000 and 2D CAD drafting, general knowledge of NFPA70/79, UL508A, and CE Low Voltage Directive, and a minimum of 5 years of Electrical Engineering experience designing or supporting industrial equipment. A Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or a related field is required, and a Master's in Electrical Engineering is a plus. Experience with text-based programming, Siemens TIA Portal, and Allen-Bradley CCW is also a plus.
