About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team at Sierra Space. As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing cutting-edge electrical systems for our aerospace and defense projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop electrical systems for advanced mission payloads and electronic systems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to derive data needs, sensor and instrumentation selections, and data architecture
  • Perform calibrations and data analysis, verification, and validation of hardware and data collection methods
  • Develop and integrate custom network hardware and test network systems

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
  • 6 or more years of relevant experience
  • Knowledge of engineering principles and practices
  • Experience with Computer Aided Engineering tools
  • Familiarity with working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry
  • Experience with Data Acquisition System architecture
  • Experience with Data Recording
  • Practical knowledge of Ethernet Network Protocols
  • Experience in IRIG 106 Chapters 9, 10, 11
  • Experience in programming languages such as Visual Basic and Python
  • Experience with hardware testing, development, qualification, and supplier management

At Sierra Space, we offer a competitive salary range of $95,000 - $131,034.90, annual incentive pay based on performance, and a generous benefit package including medical, dental, and vision plans, 401(k) with 150% match up to 8%, life insurance, 3 weeks paid time off, tuition reimbursement, and more.
