BILINGUAL SPECIAL EDUCATION INSTRUCTOR

Position Overview

We are looking for passionate Special Education Instructors to support students in preschool through 5th grade.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage case responsibilities, including the development of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), monitoring the application of modifications and accommodations in general education, facilitating team meetings, and documenting student progress through regular reports.
  • Create and deliver engaging lessons tailored to students' IEP goals and objectives.
  • Provide differentiated instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
  • Actively engage in our coaching culture and pursue personal and professional development goals.
  • Participate in regular collaborative meetings, including grade-level teams and IEP discussions.
  • Collaborate with parents, general education teachers, and service providers to develop IEPs based on observations and assessments.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of student progress using digital tools.
  • Build strong relationships with families through regular communication and updates.
  • Participate in parent-teacher conferences and uphold school policies in communications with families.
  • Respond promptly to communications from supervisors and colleagues.
  • Collaborate with leadership to address any challenges related to students or staff.
  • Support school safety and assist with daily procedures as needed.
  • Participate in school events and workshops.
  • Manage professional development related to educational technology.
  • Embody the Montessori principles of respect and kindness in all interactions.
  • Foster an inclusive classroom environment by setting high expectations for all students.
  • Arrive on time and maintain punctuality for all responsibilities.
  • Complete all required administrative tasks in a timely manner.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Must meet state educational requirements, preferably holding a valid teaching license in Special Education.
  • Bilingual proficiency (Spanish/English) is preferred.
  • Experience working in multicultural and bilingual settings.
  • Prior teaching experience in early childhood or dual-language education is advantageous.
  • Ability to support students with diverse needs, including those with IEPs.
  • Familiarity with Google Workspace is preferred.
  • Compliance with health requirements, including immunizations.

Schedule: Full-time position during the academic year

Compensation: Salary commensurate with experience, with a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid leave.
