Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Part-time SEL Instructor - Behavior Support to join our team at the Latin American Montessori Bilingual Public Charter School. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a supportive and enriching environment for students in our aftercare program, promoting their social, emotional, and behavioral growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Emotional and Behavioral Support: Observe and provide feedback on student emotional and behavioral supports in the aftercare program.
  • PAZ Support: Respond to PAZ support calls for students in enrichment programs.
  • Communication: Communicate with families and BASE instructors about support plans in place.
  • Student Accompaniment: Accompany students who need a cool-down space.
  • Reporting: Report concerns and discipline issues to the BASE Coordinator.
  • Professional Development: Attend and participate in mandatory professional development sessions and meetings.
  • Program Support: Support LAMB's bilingual program by modeling first and second language for all students.
  • Student Welfare: Maintain the welfare and safety of students by following school policies and regulations.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required; CDA and/or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Language: English fluency required; Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
  • Experience: At least one year of experience working in a school setting with young children conducting extracurricular activities.
  • Skills: Energetic, flexible, patient, imaginative, and eager to work in a bilingual and multicultural public school.
  • Commitment: Strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in work with LAMB students, staff, and the community.
