Position Overview:

SMX Corporation is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst who will autonomously provide services to clients by showcasing extensive financial expertise within our organization.

This role involves overseeing and managing the financial aspects of multiple Task Delivery Lines (TDLs) under a significant contract, ensuring all financial operations align with the objectives of the TDL.

As a key member of the program management team, the Senior Financial Analyst collaborates closely with the Senior Financial Analyst and the Program Manager to achieve overarching contract goals.


Key Responsibilities:


1. Direct the financial oversight of various complex TDLs by delivering cost, schedule, and funding planning, reporting, monitoring, and analytical support to the Program Manager.

2. Initiate TDL Project setups in accordance with contractual stipulations and requirements.
3. Generate TDL Project financial Estimates at Complete (EAC) and adhere to submission deadlines.

4. Identify potential risks and opportunities for profit enhancement within TDL Projects, providing analytical insights to facilitate financial resolutions in collaboration with Program Management, Contracts, Procurement, and Finance/Accounting.

5. Conduct weekly monitoring of TDL and manpower expenditures to ensure actual costs remain within budget and are allocated to the appropriate job numbers.

6. Validate cost reporting documentation through comprehensive TDL analytical reviews and arithmetic checks.
7. Prepare thorough and accurate TDL variance analyses and reports.
8. Track TDL funding status, ensuring timely and reliable notifications regarding funding details as required.
9. Assist with accounts receivable during the billing process as necessary.
10. Prepare subcontractor accruals in line with GAAP and internal policies as services or goods are received.
11. Conduct ad-hoc financial analyses on TDLs as requested.
12. Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Sarbanes-Oxley, FAR, and all company policies and procedures.
13. May serve as a mentor for direct reports, including timesheet approval/review and performance feedback.
14. Cultivate relationships across functional teams and internal business partners.
15. Exhibit exceptional oral and written communication skills.
16. Demonstrate strong data management, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities.
17. Maintain excellent organizational skills.

Required Qualifications:

Clearance Requirement:
Must be eligible to obtain a clearance if required by the program.
Comprehensive knowledge of various contract types (CP, T&M, FFP).
A minimum of 10 years' experience in project cost control, financial management, and contract interpretation.
Ability to prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.
Familiarity with Joint Travel Regulations (JTR) rules and guidelines.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and SharePoint.
Skilled in collecting and analyzing data from diverse sources to identify, investigate, and resolve financial issues and program risks.
Experience in managing and directing the work of junior staff.
A BA or BS Degree is preferred.
US citizenship is required for work under DOD contracts.
