Job Summary
We are in search of a seasoned Senior Accountant who will play a crucial role in supporting and enhancing the Accounting department.

The Senior Accountant will oversee the financial operations of the organization, which includes managing general accounting activities by verifying and controlling financial transactions.

This role will ensure precision and efficiency in all accounting tasks, offering financial insights and support to assist senior executives in making strategic decisions.

Core Job Responsibilities & Duties

  • Financial Reporting:
    Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and internal policies.
    Conduct month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • General Ledger:
    Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
    Guarantee accurate and timely posting of all financial transactions.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting:
    Assist in the formulation of budgets and financial forecasts.
    Analyze financial data to recommend optimal resource utilization.
  • Audit and Compliance:
    Coordinate and assist with internal and external audits.
    Ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and other regulatory standards.
  • Financial Analysis:
    Conduct variance analysis and provide insights into financial performance.
    Prepare financial reports and present findings to senior management.
  • Process Improvement:
    Identify and implement enhancements to financial processes and systems.
    Ensure robust financial controls and procedures are established.
  • Team Leadership:
    Offer guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff.
    Support the professional growth of the finance team.

Qualification Standards & Company Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CMA certification is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior accounting capacity.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Capacity to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking capabilities.
  • Able to work under pressure and adapt to evolving situations.
  • Familiarity with hotel management systems, property management systems, and relevant software.
  • Must possess a flexible work schedule.
