Job Description

Purpose and Scope: The Advisor II acts as the primary contact for students, providing guidance and monitoring their academic journey towards degree completion. This position offers academic advice on degree planning, program requirements, course selection, and enrollment processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary advisor for students regarding their academic progress.
  • Provide personalized academic advising on degree requirements and course selection.
  • Assist students in transitioning smoothly to four-year institutions.
  • Coordinate with external partners to arrange transfer events.
  • Monitor and report on student progress, including retention and completion rates.
  • Guide students in developing their educational plans and advise on course prerequisites.
  • Educate students about available resources and services.
  • Review degree plans and process graduation requests.
  • Organize workshops and recruitment events, and advise on career opportunities.
  • Assist international students with immigration issues and compliance.
  • Participate in various committees and meetings related to student success.

Qualifications:
