Position Title: COBOL/Mainframe Quality Assurance Analyst and Tester - Remote

Important Note: Candidates must be eligible to work without sponsorship.

Background: Experience in healthcare information technology, insurance IT, Medicaid Management Information Systems (MMIS), or social services eligibility is advantageous.

Communication Skills: This role necessitates exceptional communication abilities, both written and verbal. Resumes should be concise, ideally limited to two pages.

Project Overview: This initiative involves implementing federally mandated modifications to the Medicaid system. The role focuses on conducting quality assurance (QA) activities and facilitating user acceptance (UA) testing for software modifications related to Medicaid systems. Testing will require collaboration with users and external healthcare partners.

Daily Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the project team to validate coding modifications.
  • Develop test scenarios and execute tests.
  • Analyze test outcomes and address discrepancies between actual and expected results.
  • Support user acceptance testing in conjunction with SCDHHS.
  • Maintain effective communication throughout the testing process.

Essential Skills:

  • Mainframe, MVS COBOL, JCL
  • Software Testing
  • Creation of Test Scenarios

Soft Skills: Effective communication (both written and oral), adaptability, flexibility, self-motivation, problem-solving, analytical thinking, time management, and the ability to perform well under pressure.

Preferred Skills:

  • CA-ADS
  • SQL
  • Serena ChangeMan or similar change control tools
  • Experience with testing tools

Education: High school diploma and relevant experience in quality assurance testing.
