Position Overview

The Operations Team at Vori, Inc. is dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service and operational proficiency. The role of the Solutions Engineer is pivotal in ensuring the seamless availability of our product suite and expediting customer implementations. Your key responsibilities will include contributing to the development of a top-tier operations team from both procedural and systems perspectives. Collaborating with Onboarding Managers, you will tailor the Vori system to meet the specific requirements of our clients, thereby maximizing the advantages of their Vori investment, including minimized stockouts, reduced shrinkage, and enhanced operational efficiency.

A strong proficiency in data management and database systems is essential. Familiarity with tools and languages for data access and manipulation, such as SQL, is crucial. You will engage with diverse data formats from various sources, including point of sale systems, retail back office applications, and enterprise resource planning systems. Data may be presented in formats such as CSV, PDF, EDI, and traditional paper documents. Your ability to navigate and integrate these data sources with Vori is vital.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Comprehend the VoriOS system comprehensively, including its interdependencies with integration components.
  • Assess customer requirements to define and configure system specifications effectively.
  • Oversee and maintain data mappings and reconciliation as a core function of our operations team.
  • Install, deploy, configure, test, monitor, patch, troubleshoot, and maintain integrations.
  • Excel in a cross-functional setting, collaborating closely with Operations, Product, and Engineering teams to enhance workflows and systems.
  • Coordinate with third-party vendors and the Onboarding Manager to ensure comprehensive hardware and software integration prior to customer launch.
  • Support the Customer's Onboarding Manager in training staff on system protocols.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Solutions Engineer or in a comparable role.
  • Demonstrated technical project management experience with a track record of successfully completing complex projects.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Regex, and scripting, with a willingness to learn new technologies, including Postgres, Big Query, JSONata, and JavaScript.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in spreadsheet applications.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to adapt to rapidly changing environments, with a proven capacity to deliver results independently and create clarity from ambiguity.
  • Preferred: Experience in a fast-paced startup environment.
