Position Overview

The Operations Team at Vori, Inc. is dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service and operational proficiency. The Solutions Engineer role is designed to enhance the overall functionality of our product suite and expedite customer implementations for which Vori Operations is accountable. Your key responsibilities will include contributing to and developing a top-tier operations team from both procedural and systems perspectives.

You will collaborate with Onboarding Managers to tailor the Vori system to meet the specific requirements of our clients, ensuring they fully leverage their Vori investment. This includes achieving objectives such as minimizing stockouts, reducing losses, and enhancing operational efficiency.

A strong command of data and databases is essential for this role. Familiarity with tools and languages that facilitate data access and manipulation, such as SQL, is crucial. You will engage with various data formats from multiple sources, including point of sale systems, retail back-office solutions, and ERPs. Data may be presented in formats such as CSV, PDF, EDI, and traditional paper documents. Proficiency in managing data and the integrations that connect these sources to Vori is required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Comprehend the VoriOS system comprehensively, including its interdependencies with integration components.
  • Identify customer requirements to define and configure system specifications.
  • Establish and maintain data mappings and reconciliation as a vital part of our operations team.
  • Install, deploy, configure, test, monitor, patch, troubleshoot, and maintain integrations.
  • Excel in a cross-functional setting, collaborating closely with Operations, Product, and Engineering teams to enhance workflows and systems.
  • Coordinate with third-party vendors and the Onboarding Manager to ensure seamless hardware and software integration prior to customer launch.
  • Support the Customer's Onboarding Manager in training staff on system protocols.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Over 4 years of experience as a Solutions Engineer or in a similar role.
  • Demonstrated technical project management experience with a track record of successfully completing complex projects.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Regex, and scripting, with a willingness to learn new technologies, including Postgres, Big Query, JSONata, and JavaScript.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in spreadsheet applications.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to adapt to rapidly changing environments, with a proven capacity to deliver results independently and create clarity from ambiguity.
