This position plays a critical role in achieving sales profitability, growth, and account penetration within an assigned territory. The ideal candidate will possess a consultative sales approach, with a strong ability to build relationships with current and prospective customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain business relationships with customers to generate new business opportunities.
  • Make in-person visits and presentations to existing and prospective customers to promote products and services.
  • Take customer orders with the goal of maximizing sales and gross profit.
  • Participate in the review and input of orders for customers via communication with inside sales partners.
  • Respond promptly to customer problems and needs.
  • Review and analyze daily and weekly sales and margin reports to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Stay up-to-date on product applications, technical services, market conditions, and competitive activities.

Requirements
  • High school diploma required; 4-year degree in culinary arts, business, marketing, or related field preferred.
  • 2 years of prior food service and/or sales experience strongly preferred.
  • Deep expertise in the meat and seafood category or restaurant/culinary background with a proven ability to quickly learn and apply new knowledge.
  • Strong consultative sales ability and customer relations skills.
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency with MS Outlook.
