Job Title: Account Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Account Manager to join our Global Service Sales team at Thermo Fisher Scientific. As an Account Manager, you will play a critical role in driving revenue growth and expanding our service sales portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Meet or exceed sales targets and forecast sales performance accurately
  • Develop and implement a territory plan to grow business within assigned territory
  • Build relationships with customers and establish trust and rapport
  • Make daily outbound telephone calls and communicate via email to all interpersonal levels and functional areas in accounts where purchasing decisions are made
  • Capitalize on training opportunities to develop in-depth knowledge of service and support offerings
  • Develop interpersonal skills to work within cross-functional teams to achieve interpersonal objectives
  • Understand the competitive landscape within accounts to position like or better product offerings to customers
  • Communicate key driven activities, market trends, and changing customer directions to the organization
  • Use data sources to analyze and develop sales opportunities with the greatest return on investment
Requirements:
  • A goal-oriented mentality with a proven track record to meet and surpass goals and objectives
  • Excellent organization skills and individual sense of accountability
  • Strong listening skills and the ability to work with cross-functional teams and people with diverse abilities, personalities, and responsibilities
  • Must be self-starting and multifaceted, with the ability to work independently and remotely while maintaining close connections and team collaborations
  • Exhibits a high degree of flexibility in adapting to a constantly evolving business environment
  • 2+ years previous sales experience with a track record of overachieving sales targets
  • Excellent telephone and communications skills, and a high proficiency at negotiating complex deals
  • Bachelor's degree highly preferred
  • Digital literacy in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, or like programs required
  • Knowledge of MS Dynamics 365 or other CRM systems is an advantage
  • Fluent in English, proficiency in Dutch, German, or French desired
