The Diversion Clinician collaborates closely with local healthcare facilities and community partners to effectively address urgent and crisis situations that arise among individuals enrolled in the BRES program.

This role involves managing a caseload of individuals who may have limited financial resources and are facing challenges in community integration.

Program Goals
The primary objective of the program is to divert individuals from emergency rooms, inpatient care, and incarceration while facilitating their stabilization within the community.

The individual in this role will be tasked with developing and overseeing personalized service plans and delivering brief therapeutic interventions. They will handle a diverse caseload that encompasses a wide range of acuity levels. This position necessitates a Licensed Clinical Social Worker to provide community stabilization services for eligible patients.

Incentives
We offer a recruitment bonus, prorated based on FTE:
$2,000 bonus for new employees starting on January 1, 2024, through June 30, 2025. This bonus will be included in the employee's first paycheck.

For those relocating from outside the state, we provide a relocation package that includes:
- Up to $3,000 reimbursement for moving expenses
- A one-time relocation bonus of $3,000 (prorated based on FTE) upon proof of residency.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments and provide treatment for individuals and families, including group sessions.
- Deliver crisis assessment and intervention services as required.

The primary responsibility of this position is to provide assessment and treatment services, crisis intervention, and intensive support to individuals and families with complex needs and diagnoses.

Supervision
This role operates under the guidance of a supervisor who assigns tasks, sets objectives, and reviews outcomes for overall effectiveness.

Typical Duties Include:
- Screening all referrals to the BRES program for suitability.
- Conducting intake evaluations and establishing service goals for clients.
- Coordinating with Crisis Associates as necessary for clients in collaboration with the Respite Program Coordinator.

Case Management:
- Connect clients with community resources, including benefits, counseling, and medical services.
- Collaborate closely with mental health specialists and diversion teams to create alternatives to psychiatric hospitalization.

Documentation:
- Complete clinical record documentation in a timely manner and meet performance expectations for time and billing standards.

Qualifications
- Master's degree in psychology, social work, or a related behavioral science field; or a Bachelor's degree in nursing or occupational therapy with state licensure.
- At least one year of post-master's degree experience in the behavioral health field.

Special Requirements:
- Must be licensed by the appropriate Oregon Board or credentialed as a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) within the first 30 days of employment.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong understanding of community mental health concepts and treatment protocols.
- Ability to establish positive working relationships with clients, families, and other agencies.

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle and perform various physical tasks as needed.
