Position Overview

This recruitment is currently open for additional applicants. The Crisis Clinician plays a vital role in collaborating with various community partners to address urgent situations faced by individuals enrolled in the BRES program. This role involves managing a caseload of clients who often lack financial resources and are in need of support to stabilize within the community. The primary objective is to divert individuals from emergency services, inpatient care, and incarceration while facilitating their stabilization in a community setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and provide treatment for individuals and families, including group therapy sessions.
  • Deliver crisis assessment and intervention services as required.
  • Manage intake evaluations for the BRES program, setting service goals tailored to each client's needs.
  • Facilitate connections to community resources such as counseling, medical assistance, and vocational support.
  • Engage in collaborative efforts with mental health specialists and community teams to create alternatives to hospitalization.
  • Document clinical records promptly and meet established performance expectations.
  • Participate in weekly program meetings to review cases and discuss client needs.
  • Provide outreach services at various community locations to assist clients in need.

Qualifications

Experience and Education
  • Master's degree in a relevant field such as psychology, social work, or behavioral sciences; or a Bachelor's degree in nursing or occupational therapy with appropriate licensure.
  • Minimum of one year of post-master's experience in the behavioral health sector.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Preference for candidates with LCSW, CSWA, or those eligible for LCSW licensure supervision.
Special Requirements
  • Must obtain relevant licensure or credentialing within the first month of employment.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain an acceptable driving record.
  • Final candidates will undergo a criminal history background check and a pre-employment drug screening.

Work Environment
