Internship Overview

The tax and consulting internship is a seasonal role designed to provide hands-on experience in a professional setting. This position will require in-office participation.

Qualifications
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting with a minimum of 150 credit hours
  • Maintaining a GPA of 3.0 or higher
Technical Skills
  • Capable of preparing basic individual tax returns
  • Recognizes the significance of accuracy and efficiency in tax return preparation
  • Familiarity with fundamental financial statements
  • Able to identify essential documents and their functions (e.g., K-1's, W-2's, 1099's)
  • Knowledge of Fixed Assets management, including asset entry and PPT return preparation
  • Understands required payroll tax filings and their purposes
  • Can identify and explain the purpose of various tax returns (1040, 1041, 1065, 1120)
  • Familiar with the AICPA's rules, regulations, and professional ethics
  • Comprehends basic accounting principles and the relationship between debits and credits
  • Demonstrates a sense of urgency in achieving objectives
  • Experience with accounting software through academic coursework
