Job Overview

The Human Resources Manager is pivotal in overseeing the comprehensive administration, coordination, and assessment of the human resources function within the organization. This role is responsible for recommending, developing, and executing approved policies, procedures, and programs that safeguard both the company and employee interests, aligning with corporate HR policies and legal regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Directs the Human Resources and Environmental, Health and Safety operations to maintain a safe, secure, and compliant workplace.
  • Oversees employee relations to ensure uniform application of policies and objectives; provides guidance to managers during disciplinary actions.
  • Organizes and manages all departmental activities, contributing to the development and management of departmental goals, objectives, budgets, and systems.
  • Leads recruitment initiatives for various employee levels, collaborating with the talent acquisition team to craft and disseminate job postings; partners with managers to evaluate and interview candidates; conducts reference checks and facilitates new employee orientations.
  • Utilizes data analysis to enhance HR policies and processes, informing organizational decisions.
  • Maintains departmental records and reports, participates in staff meetings, and attends relevant seminars. Keeps organizational charts and employee directories updated.
  • Assesses reports, decisions, and outcomes of departmental initiatives against established goals, recommending new strategies and policies for continuous improvement.
  • Monitors and updates weekly, monthly, and annual KPIs and reporting requirements.
  • Ensures adherence to all federal, state, and local employment regulations.
  • Manages all aspects of talent management, including acquisition, onboarding, talent assessment, development, and performance evaluation.
  • Oversees the annual compensation review process, providing recommendations for salary adjustments based on market data and internal equity assessments.
  • Supervises payroll processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance through appropriate auditing measures.
  • Facilitates communication across the facility, coaching leaders on effective communication strategies and ensuring follow-up on feedback received through meetings and surveys.
  • Serves as a vital member of the global HR leadership team, engaging in strategic planning, analysis, and special projects as defined by the team.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience or equivalent education and experience.
  • Proven experience in managing payroll and human resources programs.
  • Knowledge of local and national employment laws.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Experience in human resources within the automotive manufacturing sector.
  • Five years of HR management experience.
  • Certification as a Human Resources professional.
