Job Description

Overview:

The main responsibility of this role is to deliver technical assistance to users across various departments within the organization. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: the setup of equipment in diverse environments, traveling to multiple sites to resolve system issues, and addressing inquiries from staff. The technician will also need to be reachable via mobile phone. Each employee is expected to perform their duties safely and report any safety issues promptly to their supervisor. Staying informed about company events and relevant technical information is essential for this position. Additional tasks may be assigned by management.

Required Skills:

Proficiency in Windows, O365, printer troubleshooting, point of sale systems, and experience in the restaurant industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide primary technical support for all hardware and software components, with a focus on Windows operating systems.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to end users throughout the organization.
  • Handle the installation, cabling, and repair of workstation and network devices, requiring basic troubleshooting skills.
  • Set up new user accounts and email configurations.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in computer departments.
  • Perform various errands related to the computer department.
  • Collaborate with all levels of staff to troubleshoot and resolve daily workstation issues.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation, including evenings and weekends.

Job Requirements:

  • Basic technical knowledge and problem-solving skills.
  • Microsoft Certification or equivalent experience is required.
  • Strong aptitude for learning and troubleshooting various operating systems and hardware setups.
  • Excellent organizational skills are essential.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with all company levels.
  • A degree in computer science or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience with third-party service providers, including accounting, payroll, HR, and point of sale systems, is advantageous.

Essential Functions:

  • Safely perform heavy lifting with assistance when necessary.
  • Ability to see small components and distinguish fine color variations.
  • Capable of working extended hours at a computer workstation.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally.
  • Willingness to travel between various locations.
  • Ability to navigate stairs.
  • Engage in repetitive movements such as bending, pushing, pulling, twisting, and stooping.
  • Demonstrate fine motor skills and repetitive hand use, including typing and writing.
