Job Overview

The Technical Support Specialist is a pivotal role responsible for addressing and resolving issues related to various technology products in an end-user computing setting.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Conducts basic to intermediate troubleshooting and repair tasks for devices such as PCs, laptops, tablets, and printers.
  • Provides dedicated support to high-priority clients.
  • Handles change management requests, including the installation of new equipment and offering desk-side assistance.
  • Executes Install/Move/Add/Change (IMAC) operations.
  • Completes all assigned desk-side support tasks efficiently.
  • Exhibits exceptional technical and customer service skills consistently.
  • Aims to meet established customer satisfaction and operational metrics.
  • Maintains proactive communication with users and service desk staff regarding service timelines and repair status.
  • Adheres to documented service operations policies and procedures.
  • May undertake additional duties or certifications as required by business needs.

Education and Experience:
  • Typically requires a technical school certification or 2-3 years of relevant experience.

Certifications and Qualifications:
  • Must maintain all necessary OEM Certifications as directed.
  • Familiarity with relevant software and hardware systems is essential.
  • Understanding of ITIL practices is preferred.
  • A+ certification is advantageous.
  • Additional customer-specific certifications or training may be required.

Essential Skills:
  • Outstanding communication and customer interaction skills.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Capability to follow instructions and processes with minimal oversight.
  • Able to lift and move computer equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Possession of a basic repair toolkit is necessary.
