Job Objective:
The Patient Registration Representative plays a crucial role in the healthcare setting by managing the registration process for both new and returning patients, addressing inquiries regarding billing, and delivering prompt and precise information to patients and clients.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Welcomes patients and their families upon arrival at the clinic.
2. Guides patients through the facility and oversees the lobby and waiting areas.
3. Assists non-patient visitors in reaching their intended destinations.
4. Aids patients in utilizing check-in kiosks effectively.
5. Communicates estimated wait times to patients as necessary.
6. Creates and updates patient records; confirms patient demographic information.
7. Collects co-payments and verifies insurance details.
8. Addresses patient inquiries regarding eligibility and account balances.
9. Answers incoming calls in a courteous and professional manner.

Qualifications:
1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
2. A minimum of one year of experience in a similar role or performing related tasks.
3. Proficient in Microsoft and Google Suite applications.
4. Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.

Work Environment:
The role is situated in an office/clinic environment, with consistent work hours that may extend beyond standard business hours, including evenings and weekends.

Physical and Mental Requirements:

1. Ability to sit and stand for prolonged periods.
2. Capability to lift, carry, and/or move objects weighing up to 20 pounds in a typical office setting.
3. Finger dexterity for extended typing and mouse usage.
4. Adequate vision (e.g., depth perception, color vision, close vision) and hearing (e.g., ability to hear high-pitched sounds and soft or distant noises).
