Foot and Ankle Specialists of Illinois (FASI) is a well-established medical and surgical podiatry practice seeking to expand our team with a Medical Reception Coordinator. We are looking for a candidate with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience who embodies a positive attitude and a commitment to providing exceptional service. This role is essential in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our patients and ensuring smooth operations within our busy office environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet patients at the reception area with a friendly and professional demeanor.
  • Manage incoming calls and assist with scheduling and rescheduling appointments.
  • Facilitate patient check-in and check-out processes, ensuring accurate registration and demographic data.
  • Handle co-payments and other financial transactions at the time of service.
  • Deliver a 5-star experience to every patient.
  • Act as a point of contact for patients regarding any technology or portal inquiries.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front office lobby.
  • Prepare patient charts for upcoming appointments.
  • Ensure accurate completion of forms and data entry, including DME paperwork and inventory tracking.
  • Verify insurance coverage and document patient financial responsibilities.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to collaborative discussions.
  • Support billing and credentialing teams with necessary documentation and tasks.
  • Assist in marketing efforts, including database management and social media activities.
  • Provide training and support to new team members as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent (required).
  • At least 2 years of experience with medical scheduling systems or EMR software.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Outlook, Excel).
  • Strong communication and writing skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and a willingness to learn.
