Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Athletic Trainer - Orthopedic Specialist to join our team at OrthoIllinois. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients and healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate Patient Care: Ensure seamless patient flow and continuity of care by coordinating with physicians and healthcare team members.
  • Assist with Clinical Procedures: Assist physicians with procedures such as injections, casting, and wound management, while maintaining a high level of patient safety and satisfaction.
  • Prepare Patient Charts: Accurately prepare and maintain patient charts, ensuring all necessary information is up-to-date and easily accessible.
  • Coordinate Scheduling: Coordinate surgery scheduling and ensure timely preparation of patient records.
  • Provide Excellent Communication: Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure open and timely information exchange.
  • Maintain Accurate Records: Accurately and thoroughly document patient information, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Stay Up-to-Date with Continuing Education: Maintain current certifications and licensure, including first aid and CPR, state licensure, national certifications, and continuing education.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Certifications: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), or ability to obtain Registered Orthopedic Technician (ROT) certification within 6 months of hire.
  • Experience: One year of experience in a similar role preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Working knowledge of Microsoft and Google Suites preferred.
Working Conditions

This position is based in an office/clinic setting, requiring the ability to stand, walk, sit for extended periods, and lift up to 50 pounds.
