Radiologic Technologist

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Northwestern Medicine. As a Radiologic Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality imaging services to our patients.
Responsibilities:- Utilize markers on a consistent basis to ensure accurate patient identification and imaging procedures.
- Instruct and prepare patients for radiographic and/or fluoroscopic examinations, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the process.
- Demonstrate overall knowledge of exams, including the use of various imaging modalities and equipment.
- Produce high-quality films on a consistent basis, adhering to established quality control standards.
- Understand and properly use CR, the PRID, ADC Multiloader, and QS workstation to optimize imaging results.
- Write complete patient histories for the radiologists, ensuring accurate and timely communication.
- Utilize PACS with few errors, maintaining a high level of efficiency and productivity.
- Demonstrate overall efficiency of work and time, utilizing slow time constructively to maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Assess patient pain interfering with imaging procedure, making appropriate physician contact for intervention.
- Practice medical and surgical aseptic procedures, maintaining a safe and clean environment for patients and staff.
- Multitask in several areas, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively to meet deadlines.
- Acknowledge exams on a timely basis and completely, ensuring accurate and timely communication with radiologists and other healthcare professionals.
- Graduation from an approved school of Radiology Technology, either college-affiliated or hospital-trained.
- American Registry of Registered Technologist (ARRT) certification within 3 months of graduation, new graduates need Certificate of Completion from the college.
- Certified by the State of Illinois to practice and administer radiation (IEMA), new graduates required to apply for temporary license which when received is valid by the state for two years.
- CPR - Basic Life Support certification.
- C-ARM and Fluoroscopy experience required.
- Bachelor's of Science degree.
- Previous Rad Tech experience.
