We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Northwestern Memorial Healthcare. As a Radiologic Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our diagnostic imaging department.
Responsibilities- Utilize markers on a consistent basis to ensure accurate and efficient patient imaging.
- Instruct and prepare patients for radiographic and/or fluoroscopic examinations, providing clear instructions and addressing any concerns.
- Demonstrate overall knowledge of exams, including radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures.
- Produce high-quality films on a consistent basis, adhering to established standards and protocols.
- Understand and properly use CR, the PRID, ADC Multiloader, and QS workstation to optimize imaging results.
- Write complete patient histories for radiologists, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
- Utilize PACS with few errors, maintaining high levels of accuracy and efficiency.
- Demonstrate overall efficiency of work and time, utilizing slow time constructively to maintain a high level of productivity.
- Assess patient pain interfering with imaging procedure, making appropriate physician contact for intervention.
- Practice medical and surgical aseptic procedures, maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients.
- Multitask in several areas, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively.
- Acknowledge exams on a timely basis and completely, ensuring accurate and efficient workflow.
- Graduation from an approved school of Radiology Technology, either college affiliated or hospital trained.
- American Registry of Registered Technologist (ARRT) certification within 3 months of graduation, new graduates need Certificate of Completion from the college.
- Certified by the State of Illinois to practice and administer radiation (IEMA), new graduates required to apply for temporary license which when received is valid by the state for two years.
- CPR – Basic Life Support certification.
- Bachelors of Science degree.
- Previous Rad Tech experience.
