Job Summary

The Culinary Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing all culinary activities at Aramark. This role requires a strong leader who can train and lead kitchen personnel, supervise and coordinate culinary operations, and ensure proper equipment operation and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Train and lead kitchen personnel to ensure high-quality food production.
  • Supervise and coordinate all culinary activities to meet customer expectations.
  • Estimate food consumption and requisition or purchase food to maintain inventory levels.
  • Select and develop recipes to ensure consistent quality and presentation.
  • Establish presentation techniques and quality standards, and plan and price menus to meet customer demands.
  • Ensure proper equipment operation and maintenance, and ensure proper safety and sanitation in the kitchen.
  • Oversee special catering events and may also offer culinary instruction and/or demonstrate culinary techniques.

Requirements
  • Requires at least 2-3 years of experience in a related position.
  • Requires at least 2-3 years of post-high school education, preferably a culinary degree.
  • Requires advanced knowledge of the principles and practices within the food profession.
  • Requires experiential knowledge of management of people and/or problems.
  • Requires verbal, reading, and written communication skills.
