Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Representative to join our team at Paychex. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities within our existing client base and new markets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prospecting and Lead Generation: Utilize a variety of techniques, including referrals, self-generated leads, and local marketing programs, to identify new business opportunities and expand our client base.
  • Client Engagement: Meet with clients to understand their business needs and develop solutions that meet their requirements, leveraging our Paychex HCM products and services.
  • Sales Strategy and Execution: Develop and execute a sales strategy to identify customer needs and present our Paychex solution to key stakeholders and decision-makers, resulting in increased revenue and market share.
  • Quote and Proposal Development: Create and present sales quotes and proposals to clients, utilizing our Salesforce CPQ tool to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing their needs and concerns, and negotiating sales agreements as needed.
  • Upselling and Cross-Selling: Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell our HCM solutions to existing clients, resulting in increased revenue and customer satisfaction.
  • Account Management: Analyze customer needs and interests, using Salesforce data to determine the most appropriate products and services, and referring clients to our partners when necessary.
  • Administrative Tasks: Complete and submit new sales-related paperwork, expense reports, and weekly activity reports in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Professional Development: Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, and participate in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Education: Associate's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 1 year of experience in inside or outside business-to-business sales.
