Job Summary

Catholic Health Initiatives is seeking a skilled Fetal Monitoring Sonographer to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic and vascular procedures using ultrasound waves to examine tissue and body structures.

Responsibilities
  • Obtain patient history, explain routine procedures, and address patient concerns
  • Maintain patient records and files
  • Perform procedures to ensure quality patient care in accordance with Radiologist's expectations and protocols
  • Display knowledge and comply with the National Patient Safety goals
  • Support and report any identified compliance matters
  • Participate in hospital and department quality assurance programs to ensure safety and satisfaction
  • Maintain professional development and education for technical competency
  • Use standard precautions and PPE at all times
  • Maintain regulatory compliance and licensure for current position
  • Attend all CHI Saint Joseph Health required educational programs as well as all Learn modules
  • Contribute to the efficient operation and monitoring of the department and utilize resources efficiently
  • Demonstrate complete working knowledge of equipment within assigned area
  • Knowledge and performance of the Code of Conduct Standards
Qualifications
  • Graduate from a school accredited of Radiologic Technology, OR Graduate of AMA Accredited Sonography Program, OR Graduate of accredited School of Diagnostic Medical Sonography and/or equivalent clinical experience
  • Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Sonography (S) OR Certified by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) OR Registered Vascular Technician within 1 year of employment
  • State of Kentucky License, if applicable
  • One specialty area required (OBGYN)

Pay Range

$49.95/hour
