Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Fetal Monitoring Sonographer to join our team on a full-time basis. As a key member of our medical imaging department, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic procedures using advanced imaging equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic imaging procedures using radiographic, computed axial tomography, magnetic resonance, interventional radiology, mammography, ultrasound, and nuclear medicine equipment.
  • Provide patient care and exercise professional judgment in the performance of services.
  • Participate in on-call duty as needed and use patient protected health information in a confidential manner.
  • Assess patients, verify informed consent, and assist physicians with interventional procedures.
  • Practice aseptic and sterile techniques, provide patient education, and select proper equipment and supplies.
  • Recognize radiation safety standards, follow rules around radiation protection, and obtain clear and complete patient histories.
  • Perform quality assessments of images, evaluate equipment issues, and report findings to supervisors.
  • Ensure equipment is in working order, perform performance and quality tests, and check supplies for outdates.
Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in or graduate of a Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Radiology Technology program, or post-secondary allied health profession program.
  • ARDMS board certification within 6 months of hire and BLS certification upon hire.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and writing skills, with the ability to set and maintain multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Six to nine months ultrasound experience and ARRT Board Certified in Radiology.
