Job Title:

Fetal Monitoring Nurse

Job Summary:

The Fetal Monitoring Nurse is a critical member of the healthcare team responsible for providing continuous vigilance and tele-nursing focused on early prevention and intervention of abnormal fetal heart rate tracings within the Birthing Center. This role is designed to decrease fetal and neonatal morbidity and mortality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide continuous monitoring and tele-nursing services to patients in the Birthing Center
  • Identify and intervene in abnormal fetal heart rate tracings to prevent adverse outcomes
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide evidence-based care and support
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure seamless care
Requirements:
  • Registered Nurse licensure and certification in Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM) and Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) Fetal Monitoring Certification
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and critical thinking skills
  • Basic computer navigation skills and working knowledge of the internet
